Mountains, trees, lochs, seas...
I live and work in Argyll, near Oban. My work is a response to place.

BA Hons Fine Art, University of Newcastle Upon Tyne 1995 Foundation Year, Leith School of Art 1991
Beauty and energy found amongst trees, on mountain tops, beside rivers, lochs and seas: the land and weather in their might and beauty, ferocity and calm. Drawing is dominant in my work. Line is important to me, sometimes delicate, always with an energy and immediacy that helps me capture the moment.
Adventure Racing, over the last couple of years, and joining Oban Mountain Rescue Team in December 2007 has added to my enjoyment and participation in the landscape. Amongst other racesThe Hebridean Challenge has been a highlight of the last three years. These experiences inform my work, taking me to some wild places.
