Beauty and energy amongst trees, on mountain tops, beside rivers, lochs and seas: the land and weather in their might, ferocity and calm. Drawing is dominant in my work. Line is important; sometimes delicate, always with an energy and immediacy, capturing moments and journeys.

Adventure Racing and being a member of Oban Mountain Rescue Team adds to my enjoyment and participation in the landscape. Amongst other races The Hebridean Challenge has been a highlight of the last three years. These experiences inform my work, taking me to some wild places. NEXT Adventure Racing World Championships 8th - 13th November 2009 in Portugal. I am part of Team Cruachan, a four person team heading out to Portugal for this Chamiponship race. Over-excited, distracted and generally running about like a headless chicken trying to get ready!
